When creating Playtime Beneath the Flower Shadows, I drew inspiration from the figures in the Song Dynasty’s Children at Play, gently placing them within a potted camellia landscape.
Here, the world shifts and scales dissolve — they may be tiny spirits frolicking among the leaves, or travelers wandering through a dreamlike garden of towering blooms.
As shadows dance and light glimmers, time slows to a tender hush. In this poetic realm, play and memory intertwine, inviting the viewer to step into a hushed, enchanted world where the fleeting beauty of childhood and the quiet grace of nature bloom together.
