陶藝家簡湘霖的作品多半是超現實主義，題材豐富多元、深具啟發和創造性。
人的成長過程，總是免不了體驗各種各樣的混雜情緒，藝術家從自身經驗出發，將生活中的貪婪、焦慮、困頓與恐懼等人性議題轉化為具象的視覺語言。
她採用需高度技術與耐心的泥條盤築法，賦予作品獨特的歷史性與不可取代性。作品在詭譎寫實與療癒柔和之間游移，透過細膩雕琢，呈現對現實世界的直觀觀察與情感投射。

Most of ceramic artist Hsiang Lin CHIEN’s works are surrealistic, featuring diverse themes that are both inspiring and imaginative.
Drawing from personal experiences, she transforms human emotions such as greed, anxiety, hardship, and fear into vivid visual forms.
She employs the coil-building technique, which requires great skill and patience, giving her works a strong sense of historical value and uniqueness.
Her creations range from uncanny realism to gentle and healing styles, all unified by refined craftsmanship and delicate detailing.
